MIGUEL PEIDRO

Miguel Peidro was born in 1950 in Alcoy, Alicante, Spain. He received artistic training at a private studio alongside well-known Spanish painters such as Vincente Moya, Alex Alemany, and Juan Ferri. Being in the presence of such talent, Miguel was inspired to learn as much as possible.

Miguel Peidro’s admiration for both painting and nature translates eloquently onto canvas through use of delicate brushstrokes and thick layers of paint. He holds a special sensibility and awareness toward the natural world that clearly resonates through his ability to capture light. His choice of the panoramic format accentuates the vastness of landscape and invites the viewer to partake in the artist’s vision.

Upon viewing Peidro’s landscapes, one cannot help but get caught in the quiet and meditative portrayals of his landscapes. Light and reflection are signature aspects in his paintings. Light reflecting on water and surfaces is a mysterious phenomenon to Peidro, and he explores these elements with intrigue and vigor. The water not only reflects the light, but the vitality of the natural world, and even reflects Piedro’s admiration.

Miguel Peidro’s work has been extensively exhibited and collected throughout Spain, Japan, the United States, Portugal, and China, including an exposition at the Time Arts Museum in Beijing.
