Kenneth Evans

Turner, Lane and Dawson are influences often observed in Kenneth
Evans' ships,  and seascapes.  Turneresque color at times washes over all,
uniting ship, water, earth and sky. " My paintings enable me to express
understandings, feelings, emotions and realizations that are not always
possible for me to put into words, not even poetical words".

A native of coastal Stamford, he now resides in Yarmouth Port, Ma.
Musician, poet and philosopher, engineer and lawyer- all resources from
which to draw for his consistent passion art.  Educated in oil painting by
distinguished Russian painter Kiril Doron, and later Christopher Blossom,
John Stobart, Joseph McGurl and Don Demers.
Kenneth has had one-man
shows yearly since 1996.  He is a member of the American Society of Marine
Artists (ASMA) and an elected artist and teacher at the Mystic Art Association.
His work has been seen at the Cape Museum of Fine Arts in 2001, 2002, 2003,2004 and
is in numerous private collections.
His work can be seen during the summer of 2004 in the American Society of Marine Artists exhibit at the Cape Cod Museum of Fine Arts in the museum's major summer exhibit " Masters of the Sea".
