Cheryl Kessler's paintings are a reflection of the tropical beauty of Florida that has surrounded her as a native Floridian. Infused with elements of interior design, such as antiques, luxurious fabrics and use of color, Cheryl has created a style of classical, elegant and tropical imagery that delights the eyes of the beholder. The way Cheryl approaches her painting would be considered Classic Traditional Realism with a twist. The contents of her paintings are always a surprise. Even though the objects appear together in a realistic manner, her choice of objects and there relationship to each other would never be seen in a natural setting. Cheryl's work is more about the choices she makes, with the objects that she uses, not about brush technique and exact composition.
