Sally Caldwell Fisher
Sally Caldwell Fisher portarys in her images a world brimming with charm and simplicity. Attracted to the whimsical, she illustrates everyday life in rural America with humor for he surroundings, often a favorite locate of fond recollection.
Ms. Fisher's sometimes-irreverent sense of humor and zest for the humanness in us all is the hallmark of her painting. "Each of the images I paint is for me a process of discovery," Fisher says. "In every one there is the evocation of a story. It gives me the greatest joy to infuse these tales with a bit of humor. Above all, I have true affecttion and great respect for my subject matter," Sally firmly believes in "following what is in my heart, for I know that when one is truly willing to turst in the future, dreams do become a reality."
Over the past ten years, Sally has gained recognition in the United States for her scenes of coastal life. Her work hangs in prominent public, privte and museum collections across the country, most notably The White House and Smithsonian Institution.
